So recently @verbix introduced me to Pewdiepie and his various videos (I think the first one I saw was his Harlem shake), and I started watching some of his LPs. Mostly the Happy Wheels ones, because it’s Happy Wheels and the potential for hilarity and gory disfigurement is high.
But this post isn’t about Pewds.
You see, he did a collab video about Bloody Trapland with some dude called Cry. He also played a few rounds of Worms with Cry. Actually, he did a lot of collab stuff with the LPer known as ChaoticMonki/Cryaotic/Cry. And because Cry was funny and I liked his voice, I started checking out his other work (aka Bioshock Infinite and Cry Reads).
I also browsed through the Cryaotic and other related tags on tumblr, trying to glean bits of information about this guy. General fandom consensus was that he’s dark haired, blue eyed, and pretty damn attractive. Of course, this was (is) all speculation because he didn’t (doesn’t) show his face. But I digress- I eventually stumbled upon his tumblr and was pleasntly surprised that he: 1) actually had a tumblr and 2) posted on it somewhat regularly.
So I read and read and laughed and kept reading and then I got to this:
He made it through all that without letting the bitterness and resentment win. Even while he was struggling to cope with the situation, he tried his best to understand and take care of his family. He didn’t let those experiences stop him from trusting people again. And he worked his ass off to get to where he is today. He does what he loves for a living and never gave up on himself or his dreams.
If anyone is still reading this wall of text, I guess what I’m trying to say is: Thanks for everything Cry. It sucks to admit it, but I know what it’s like when your parents aren’t there for you. To me, you’re a total badass who, despite all the shit you went through, did your best to be good and brave. The fact that you can be the person you are today is truly inspirational.
And if anyone’s interested, here’s my best guess as to what he really looks like:
